Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti Olomu Efon the second has crowned Alhaja Moriam Adunni Shittu Sanni Nee Owolewa as Otun Iyalode of Omu-Aran.
The coronation ceremony took place at Olomu of Omu-Aran’s Palace in Omu-Aran Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State
Administering Oath of Office on the new Otun Iyalode of Omu-Aran, Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti Olomu Efon the second stated the recipient merited the title having contributed immensely to development of the Community.
Oba Adeoti charged Alhaja Sanni-Owolewa to justify the confidence reposed in her and cautioned her against any act that portray the Community in a bad light.
In his reaction, Executive Chairman, Mr Yakub Abdulazeeq, said the recipient is being celebrated for her goods deeds and beseeched her to sustain the tempo.
Elemosho of Omu-Aran, Chief Adebisi Makanju identified the coronation of Alhaja Sanni-Owolewa as apt in recognition of her gesture to her countryhome.
Chief Makanju recalled that the late father of the recipient was an highly respected Chieftaincy holder as her daughter now being crowned as Otun Iyalode of Omu-Aran.
Also Speaking, Hajia Raheedah Olawuyi-Owolewa described the Chieftaincy of Alhaja Sanni-Owolewa as an honour to Ile-Olupo Compound held in high esteem and thanked the Monarch for considering their family with the prestigious title.
Similarly, Hajia Taibat Folashade Shopeju Nee Owolewa explained that people came from far and near to celebrate their mother being installed as Otun Iyalode whom she described as an epitome of impeccable character.
Younger brother of the celebrant, Engineer Siaka Toye-Owolewa, recalled that it is exactly 51 years when their late father, Alhaji Salman Owolewa was installed as Ipetu-Mayegun of Omu-Aran and eulogized the Olomu of Omu-Aran for considering her worthy.
Head of Department of Mass Communication, Kwara State Polytechnic, Mr Fatiu Olohungbebe who is a colleague to the daughter of the Chieftaincy title holder, observed that attitude of children speaks volume of parents who gave birth to them.
Mr Olohungbebe opined that the character of her, Mrs Nafisat Owolewa-Sadiq brought the staff of the polytechnic to the Coronation Ceremony as she merited the appointment as Otun Iyalode of Omu-Aran.
Also Speaking, Olufade Balarabe-Ayuba asserted that the Otun Iyalode is a suitable title for her owing to her qualification from both mother and father sides having contributed her quota to Omu-Aran.
Son of the celebrant, Mr. Ahmed Sanni pointed out that he was extremely happy when the news of her Chieftaincy title broke and maintained that his mother is a silent achiever as the Chieftaincy title bestowed her is sign of appreciation from the Community.
Alhaji Akeem Sanni-Bolaji who spoke on behalf of his family was of the view that Alhaja Moriam Adunni Sanni Owolewa is a good mother and wife to his family
Responding, new Otun Iyalode of Omu-Aran, Alhaja Moriam Adunni Sanni Owolewa posited that as Otun Iyalode, her duties are to always guide women how to behave in the society and their matrimonial engagement

The Coronation Ceremony featured recitation of Qur’an, Cultural Display, goodwill messages and reading of the biography of the celebrant by her daughter, Nafisat Owolewa-Sadiq of the Department of Mass Communication, Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin.
