Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Innovation, Mr. Kayode Ishola says the State Government is blazing the trail in digital education with the continuation of its groundbreaking Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Program, which has emerged as the largest of its kind by any state government in Nigeria.
Mr. Ishola in a statement said the programme was first introduced in 2024 with a pilot involving 684 students across six schools.
He said the programme has since expanded significantly, now targeting 7,500 students across 50 public secondary schools in the state.
Mr. Ishola also stated that this strategic initiative is part of the Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq-led administration’s broader agenda to position Kwara as a regional hub for innovation, technology, and digital opportunity, in alignment with his role as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).
