Kwara Begins Close Camp Ahead Of National Sports Festival As Mogaji Charges Coaches To apply Right Training

Kwara state Sports Commission athletes to the National Sports Festival tagged “Gateway 2024” have begun close camp.
Addressing the athletes, Executive Chairman of the Commission, Coach Bolakale Mogaji charged the coaches to apply the right training that will be helpful to the athletes at the festival.
 Coach Mogaji who welcomed the athletes to camp explained that any athlete training to get to his /her peak at the festival must have started about five months to the festival
He counseled the athletes to abide by camp rules and face the business at hand squarely.
The Executive Chairman assured the athletes that their open camp allowance will be paid to them today while the close camp will be paid before departing to the festival.
Coach Mogaji noted that he was once an athlete and he is committed to take welfare of athletes as a priority.
He assured, that the march pass dress, canvas, and jerseys that will be given to the athletes at the festival are for keeps.
Roll call of athletes present at camp were taken sport by sport.
Speaking earlier, the Director of Sports Mallam, Alhaji Ibrahim Bako tasked the athletes to be of good behaviour and keep to camp rules.
Alhaji Bako told them to report any challenge they might face during camping but they must follow due process.
