First batch of Five Hundred and Sixty intending pilgrims from Kwara State today airlifted to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj.
The intending Pilgrims successfully boarded, Max Air at Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin.
In his reaction Executive Secretary, Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Board, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam noted that a total of 2,174 pilgrims from the state are expected to be airlifted in four separate flights schedule for 2025 Hajj operation.
Also addressing the pilgrims, Chairman of the Board, Professor Mashood Mahmood Jimba and the Amirul-Hajj and Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu, urged them to maintain discipline, exhibit good conduct, and represent the state and the country with dignity throughout the spiritual voyage.
The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria reports that the second batch is slated for 14th, 3rd batch 16th while the last batch is on 17th of next month.
