Kwara Poly SUG Honours Sports Commission Chairman For Outstanding Support

Student Union Government (SUG) of Kwara State Polytechnic, through the Office of the Director of Sports, Comrade Abdullahi Ajoke Kaosarah, has honoured the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, in recognition of his unwavering support for the success of the institution’s sports development initiatives.
The award and medal of honour were formally presented to Mallam Mogaji today, at his office within the Kwara State Sports Commission headquarters in Ilorin.
Speaking on behalf of the entire SUG leadership and student body, Comrade Kaosarah expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Chairman for his consistent encouragement and contributions towards the advancement of sports at Kwara State Polytechnic.
She noted that under Mallam Mogaji’s leadership, the Sports Commission actively supported various sporting programs initiated by her office during the 2024/2025 academic year, including the First Kwara Poly Sports Summit, the First Kwara Poly Football League, the SUG Cup, the Rector’s Cup, among others. These programs, she emphasized, not only fostered physical development but also promoted youth engagement, leadership, unity, and social harmony among students of diverse backgrounds.
According to her Mallam Mogaji will forever remain my mentor, father, and a sports legend whose contributions to youth and sports development in Kwara State will be remembered for generations.

In his response, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji thanked the SUG leadership for the honour bestowed on him and commended the vibrant sports culture of Kwara State Polytechnic.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting sports development across tertiary institutions in the state as part of the broader vision of the Kwara State Government to use sports as a tool for youth empowerment, social development, and community cohesion.
The brief event was witnessed by members of the SUG, senior officials of the Sports Commission, and student-athletes.
