The appointment of Professor Abdul-Lateef Folorunsho Oladimeji as the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University Ilorin, has been described as most appropriate and highly meritorious.
The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria [MMWG] made this assertion while reacting to the appointment as made by the Governing Council of the University and endorsed by the Founder of University Dr. Abdulrahim Oladimeji – the Jagunmolu of Igbominaland.
In a Congratulatory Message sent to the new Vice-Chancellor signed by the National Coordinator of the Group Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim and the National Secretary Dr. Nasir Balogun, the Group said tthe appointment is based on his academic excellence, dedication to duty, recognition of his loyalty and true commitment to the services of the University.
The Group expressed its confidence in the ability and capacity of Professor Lateef Oladimeji to deliver on the mandate of the Higher Institution of Learning within a short possible time, describing the new VC as ‘a round-peg in a round-whole’
While thanking Almighty Allah for Professor Oladimeji’s appointment who is one of their members, the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria specially thanked Chief Abdul-Rahim Oladimeji who is also the Baba-Oba of Offa for recognising the necessity of rewarding hardwork, dedication to duty and loyalty to one’s Employers.
The Group prayed for 6th Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University Professor Lateef Oladimeji that Almighty Allah should endow him with sound health, wisdom and guidance for him to actualize dream of the University of being at top of academic Institutions of pride in the Universe in areas of quality education and moral excellence.
