Send-off: Kwara Sports Commission Celebrates Retirees

Send-off ceremony was today organized to celebrate thirteen retired staff of Kwara State Sports Commission.
The ceremony was held at Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, George Innih Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
Speaking at the occasion, Executive Chairman of the Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Mogaji counselled civil servants to always plan for retirement to maintain and sustain themselves after retirement.
Coach Mogaji advocated unity among staff and urged them to be industrious and engage in productive ventures to complement their meagre salaries in the civil service
The Executive Chairman applauded the retirees’ commitment for during the their active service.
Also Speaking, member, Kwara State Sports Commission Board, Hon Abdullahi Yunusa Lade appreciated celebrants for their service to the Commission and the state at large.
Hon Lade encouraged them civil servants to always protect government’s interests and support the Commission resolutions to achieve desired results
Earlier, Chairman Welfare Committee and Head School Sports of of the Commission, Hajia Afsat Abisoye said the send-off was organized to celebrate the retirees sterling contributions to the Commission.
Hajia Abisoye enumerated that the objective of the Committee are for social welfare, aid to members when the need arises and prayed for deceased retirees.
Highlight of the send-off ceremony was presentation of gifts to the retirees.
The event was attended by Commission Secretary, Mr Haruna Tsado, Controller Finance and Account, Alhaji Adulwahab Gidado and Acting Stadium Manager, Mr Idowu Ayodeji.
