Federal Government has announced the commencement of applications for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme, according to an announcement released by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.
The initiative is being coordinated through the Bank of Agriculture in partnership with Heifer Nigeria, according to details provided by the Bank of Agriculture.
According to the Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, who circulated the application notice on Thursday, the programme is targeted at creating a new class of mechanisation service providers, with a special focus on women and young agripreneurs.
Beneficiaries under the scheme will have access to tractors and other farming implements through flexible repayment arrangements tied to usage and farm output, according to the programme information released by the Bank of Agriculture.
The programme also includes a three-year servicing and maintenance plan to be managed by certified service centres and mobile workshop units, according to technical documents shared by the implementing partners.
Eligibility covers women and youth between the ages of 18 and 35, as well as registered mechanisation firms seeking to expand their fleet, according to the application guidelines.
The offer includes a 25 per cent commitment fee and a 15 per cent interest rate, with dedicated concessions for women and youth-led enterprises, according to the Bank of Agriculture.
The Federal Government said the initiative is part of a broader effort to modernise agricultural practices, reduce manual labour, and improve rural livelihoods, according to official policy statements.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu launched the first phase of the mechanisation programme in June, which involved the deployment of more than 2,000 tractors, thousands of implements, industrial land preparation machinery, and mobile workshop units across different states, according to the Presidency.
Interested applicants are required to apply through the official portal at https://boanig.com on or before November 10, 2025, according to the application notice circulated by government officials.
