Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has cautioned United States of America against biased, unverifiable and false report on Nigeria on the socalled persecution or killing of Christians.
In a Statement signed today by its National Coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim, the Group stated that there is no iota of truth in that spread by the enemies of Nigeria.
The Non-Governmental Organization established since 2006 said its objectives among other things are to promote peace, unity and tranquility in Nigeria all over the world.
The Media Group said the issue of sanctioning of promoters of false accusations is one of its cardinal objectives, while strengthening inter-religious dialogues remains its focus till date and will remain so forever.
The Group maintained that insecurity trajectory in Nigeria that has featured among others  terrorism, kidnapping, arson, and wanton killings of innocent people are criminalities that are being tackled by the Nigeria’s Security Forces under the Former and current Federal Government of Nigeria.
The Media Group pointed out that in all these criminalities, none ever targeted any religious group, rather people of various religious persuasions are being affected.
It elucidated that reliable data confirmed muslims are deeply affected than the christians as the centre of insecurity remains the Northern parts of Nigeria
The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria explained further that the Nation would have witnessed more terrible carnage than recorded so far if separatist Group known Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB] was not banned some years ago.
The Group maintained that while the report of Igbo people being killed in the past was true, those responsible for the insecurity were reported to be the members of IPOB and ESN who targeted anybody that came out for their lawful businesses.
MMWG posited that during the rampage of IPOB and ESN on their own people, several security personnels including soldiers were killed as Federal Government needs to be commended for its strenuous efforts to restore peace.
The Group therefore called President Trump not to rely on false report on which his declaration of Nigeria as place of particular concern based, rather  should should work on officially documented reports of its Embassy in Nigeria to appreciate the effort of Federal Government in maintaining law and order.
The Muslim Media Watch Group stated that in the Federal Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Wife of the President is not just a Christian but Pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God.
The Media Group submitted that the Chief of Defence Staff, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Head of Service, the Director of the State Security and the Inspector-General of Police, all are Christians.
It stressed thatthis Government Structure ought to convince Donald Trump that those accusing President Tinubu’s Administration of Christian Genocide are shameless liars and unpatriotic elements.
On the killings in Plateau and Benue States, the Group stated that it was errorneous to have classified it as christian genocide, when as a matter of fact it has been a long time battles spanning over 20 year.
The Media Group asserted that most of the problems are cases of christians killing Christians as a result of farmers-herders clashes and boundary issues as well as tribal attacks against each other which both the Federal and State Governments have been addressing squarely.
