Commuters Stranded In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Gridlock

A major traffic logjam today brought movement to a halt on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
This situation is leaving motorists stuck for hours as gridlock spread across both the inbound and outbound lanes.
The standstill extended from the Alausa Expressway down to the Fatgbems/OPIC roundabout for those heading toward Mowe while motorists travelling into Lagos were trapped from the Long Bridge to the same roundabout.
The heavy congestion is traced to a crash at the New Garage area, where two vehicles went up in flames and were completely burnt to ashes.
The accident, however, has caused a major obstruction, worsening an already tense traffic situation.
