Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has commended the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye, as a
distinguished public communicator, seasoned journalist, and strategic media professional whose career reflects excellence, integrity, and unwavering commitment to ethical communication.
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations attested to this, while felicitating with the Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Governor,on the joyous occasion of his birthday.
A Statement jointly signed by chairman of the Kwara State chapter of NIPR, Mr. Gabriel Ogunade and General Secretary Mr. Abdul Rahman Sanni noted that the Institute celebrates not only the passing of another year in his life, but also his remarkable contributions to Public Relations Practice, Governance, Communication, and the overall image management of Kwara State.
As Chief Press Secretary to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who is the Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum, Mallam Ajakaye according to the NIPR, has demonstrated uncommon professionalism, intellectual depth, and strategic insight in managing government communications. His calm disposition, clarity of messaging, and deep understanding of governance have significantly strengthened public trust and enhanced the credibility of the administration’s communication architecture.
The NIPR Kwara Chapter noted that he has continued to uphold the core values of truth, transparency, responsibility, and service to the public good. His work ethic, humility, and collaborative leadership style have earned him respect among colleagues, media professionals, and stakeholders within and outside the state.
As an honoree of the maiden edition of the Nigerian Spokesperson Summit Award of the NIPR as the most outstanding Political Communicator in 2024, Mallam Ajakaye’s continue to justify this huge national recognition in practice. This honour not only brings pride to Kwara State but also reinforces the relevance of professional Public Relations Practice in governance and national development.
