NIPR Mourns Death Of NCAM Boss, Engr. Kamal

Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has received with profound sadness the news of the demise of the Executive Director of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM), Engr. Abdul Gafar Abdul Rasheed Kamal, describing his passing as a great loss to the nation, the agricultural sector, and the professional community.
A statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Kwara State Chapter of the Institute, Mr. Gabriel Ogunade, and the General Secretary, Mr. Abdul Rahman Sanni, described Engr. Kamal as a visionary technocrat whose tenure at NCAM was marked by remarkable innovation, creativity, and the promotion of modern farm inputs as well as mechanized solutions aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and food security in Nigeria.
According to the statement, his leadership ushered in purposeful reforms, research-driven inventions, and institutional relevance that repositioned NCAM as a critical driver of national development.
The Institute recalled his unwavering support for Public Relations practice and practitioners, as NCAM under his watch maintained a cordial and professional relationship with the NIPR, recognizing the strategic role of effective communication in public sector governance and institutional growth.
It said his inclusive leadership style and appreciation for stakeholder engagement endeared him to many across professional divides.
On behalf of the Governing Council, Fellows, and Members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the statement condoled to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari; Khalifat Adabbiyya, Sheikh Abdul Kadir Kamaldeen; the Board, Management, and Staff of NCAM; the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU); and the immediate family of the deceased.
It also commiserate with the entire Ilorin Emirate and all who were touched by his exemplary life of service.
As the nation mourns this distinguished engineer, administrator, and patriot, the NIPR takes solace in the enduring legacy of excellence, innovation, and integrity he left behind.
It prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and give all those he left behind the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
