Kwara State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Commander Narcotics (CN) Fatima Abiola-Popoola and Kwara State Command has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Brigadier-General Mohammed Buba Marwa.
The prestigious recognition was presented in Abuja, the agency’s headquarters in acknowledgment of the command’s outstanding performance.
The award reflects the remarkable achievements recorded by the Kwara State Command in the area of Drug Supply Reduction throughout 2025.
Under the leadership of CN Fatima Abiola-Popoola, the command intensified its operational strategies, yielding significant results in the fight against illicit drug trafficking and abuse within the State of Harmony.
While presenting the award, the NDLEA Chairman commended the Kwara State Command for a job well done, describing the performance of officers and men as exemplary and worthy of national recognition.
He urged them to remain steadfast, disciplined, and committed, encouraging the command to continue keeping the NDLEA flag flying high.
Brigadier-General Marwa further emphasized that such dedication and professionalism align with the agency’s renewed mandate to curb drug supply and protect communities across the country.
He noted that the achievements of the Kwara State Command serve as a benchmark for other commands nationwide.
