Director General National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, Prof.Abubakar O.Sulaiman, has hailed the appointment of his Special Assistant on Politics, ( SAPOL) Alhaji Abdulrasaq Owolabi Wopa as new Chairman, Kwara United Queens.
The congratulatory message is conveyed in the statement by his Media Aide Mohammad Abdulkadri.
Prof.Sulaiman who described Wopa’s appointment as “a round peg- in-a- round hole” added that such profoundly strategic choice of an accomplished sports administrator, sports tactician, technically sound and a football enthusiast will impact kwara United Queens to win laurels at local and international arenas.
The Director General NILDS thanked the Kwara State Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazak CON for the well-deserved appointment of wopa and expressed optimism that Wopa will not betray the trust and confidence reposed in him in the discharge of his responsibility.
He said the newly appointed Chairman who is currently a respected member of the National Executive of the Federation of the Aquatic / Swimming Association, will bring to bear his robust administrative and practical experiences spaning decades of activism in the sponsorships of annual football tournaments to bear towards taking Kwara United Queens to greater heights.
While wishing the new helmsman of Kwara United Queens and other members of the management the very best in their new challenging assignments, the sports loving former Minister of National planning urged them to inject discipline, dedication co-ordination and co-operation into the team towards winging the Queens to flying highly in various championships ahead of them.
