Special Assistant to Kwara State Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Prince Abdul-lateef Atolagbe Adebara has reaffirmed Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s commitment in ensuring access to humanitarian aid in the State
Prince Adebara dropped this hint in an exclusive interview with Dailysource in commemoration of this year’s World Humanitarian Day themed “Work For Humanity”
First observed in 2009, World Humanitarian Day takes place annually on August 19 to honour humanitarian workers and promote awareness of humanitarian efforts globally.
He pointed out that the state government in partnership with relevant security agencies are working together to reduce humanitarian crisis to its lowest.
The partnership, according to him will also involve strengthening respect for international humanitarian laws to expand the frontiers of peace and stability in the State and at Nigeria.
The Governor’s Assistant explained that effective awareness is being created on the need for the citizens to vacate flood prone areas to guard against disaster and cautioned them against acts that could lead to fire outbreak
Prince Adebara itemized huge empowerment of the teeming unemployed citizens in the State through Kwara State Social Investment Programmes,KWASSIP, food palliatives and provision for fertilizers to genuine farmers and other catalogue of interventions
