The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kwara State Council has expressed grief over the passing of Dr Raheem Kajogbola Omoloso, the former General Manager of the Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation, (Radio Kwara).
Dr Omoloso, a respected figure in the broadcasting industry, was also the father of Mr Musiliudeen Kehinde Omoloso of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).
Dr Omoloso passed away this morning (Friday), leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service to the media industry and academics in Kwara State and beyond.
The NUJ described his death as a significant loss, not only to his family but also to the entire media community in the state.
In a condolence message signed by the Chairman of the Kwara State NUJ Council, Ahmed ‘Lanre Abdullateef, and the Secretary, Mahmood Olayinka Alaya, the union conveyed its shock and sadness over the news of Dr Omoloso’s demise.
The statement recalled his invaluable contributions to the growth of journalism and broadcasting in Kwara State, noting that his legacy at Radio Kwara set a standard for excellence in public broadcasting.
The union extended its heartfelt condolences to the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, Offa Descendants Union (ODU), the entire Offa community, and the bereaved family.
The NUJ acknowledged Dr Omoloso as a distinguished elder statesman whose impact will be remembered for years to come.
The statement prayed to the Almighty Allah to repose the soul of Dr Omoloso and comfort the bereaved family in their grieving moment.
