Residents of Idarede Community, located behind Phase 2 Oloje Estate, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State have lamented over a month-long power outage that has put the Community in total darkness.

A Statement by a Member of the Community, Mallam Imam Abubakar Ayinla, frowned that the prolonged outage, began over four weeks ago

Mallam Abubakar Ayinla pointed out that lack of electricity in the area has disrupted daily life, compromised security, and hampered business operations across the area.

According to him, the power outage has created significant challenges for the community, including difficulties in preserving perishable goods, operating businesses, and accessing essential services.

He expressed concern over the delay in resolving this issue, emphasizing its impact on their well-being and economic activities.

Alhaji Abubakar Ayinla therefore called on the state government to prevail on Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company towards restoring electricity in Community
