A Human Resource Management Expert, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi has advocated integrity, commitment and dedication in the course of professional practice.
Alhaji Abdullahi stated this in Lagos at his investiture as Life Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria [CIPM].
He said these three qualities if well maintained are veritable virtues for personal, organizational and professional achievements.
He said at his 35 years of membership of the Institute with 17 years as a Fellow of the Institute had equipped him to serve the Institute and humanity to the best of his ability.
Earlier in his speech, the President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria [CIPM] Alh. Ahmed Ladan Gobir had described the 5 Honourees who were conferred with the Title of Life Members as leading members of the Institute who have contributed immensely to the growth and the development of the CIPM which is the only recognised Regulatory and Professional Body for human resource management practice in Nigeria.
He said the awardees merited the honours conferred on them because they have made great and positive impact in the Institute for nearly 4 decades.
The President of the Institute Alhaji Ahmed Ladan Gobir who is also the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Institute said for long, the Institute would continue to remember the great contributions the honourees to the Institute.
He urged them to ensure that they encourage some of their offsprings to embrace human resource practice as a profession as human capital development is vital to the survival of any Society.
Others who were conferred with life-membership title of the Institute in addition to Alh. Ibrahim Abdullahi were – Mr. Oritsenenye Enemigin Ochuko, Mr. Femi Pius Mokikan, Mrs Francisca Akogun and Mr. Olatunji Oyedokun.
The ceremony which was part of the Institute’s Annual Fellow’s Gathering also featured the introduction of newly inducted Fellows of the Institute at the International
Conference of the Institute held in Abuja last year.
Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria ]CIPM] was established 57 years ago.
