Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has attributed the victory of Kwara United in the just concluded President Federation Cup power of team spirit, discipline, determination, and grit.
Governor Abdulrazaq who is also the Chairman, Nigerian Governors Forum NGF, in Congratulatory Message personally signed him, said he is overwhelmed with joy to have joined Harmony Boys of Kwara United to bring home the 2025 President Federation Cup.
The Governor identified the triumph as the first time any team from the state has ever won the prestigious trophy since 1967 when Kwara was created.
He wholeheartedly salute the players, the coaching crew, the management of Kwara United, the Sports Commission, and the supporters’ club for this remarkable feat.
He is particularly grateful to the people of the state, including Kwarans in Diaspora, for their overwhelming support for the team.
According to him, the victory over the Abakaliki FC comes on the heels of yet another win as the contingent to the Senior President Debate Competition has emerged the national champion for the first time ever.
He noted that for three unbroken editions, Kwara State pupils under the State Universal Basic Education have remained the national champions in the President School Debate Competition and commended the Kwara contingents that have made the state proud.
The Governor pointed out that all of these show that the feats in different aspects are not a flash in the pan, but are deserving fruits of hard work and strategic investments in youth development, sports, education, and other key sectors of the economy.
Governor Abdulrazaq congratulated all Kwarans home and abroad on these achievements and looked forward to keeping the state in positive spotlights in Nigeria and across the world.
