United States of America and its National Assembly has been challenged on the veracity of the contents of the Bill before it aimed at declaring ‘Nigeria as a state of serious Concern’ over the false allegation of christian genocide in Nigeria.
Rising from a crucial meeting today in Abuja over this spurious allegation, the Muslim Media Group of Nigeria described the assertion as false, unfounded and outrightly untrue.
It should be recalled that last week the International Media was awashed over the report that a Senator in US – Ted Cruz has sponsored a bill for debate and action in the Legislature over this matter.
In a Press Statement released in Abuja and jointly signed by the National Coordinator of the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi and National Secretary, Dr. Nasir Balogun, the Group described the bill as calculated plan by some unpatriotic Nigerians to swindle the American Government – believing that the ‘islamophobia bill’ if passed, would eventually give them economic benefit as purveyors of such condemnable false report.
The Media Group therefore commended the christians and muslims in Nigeria for rising up to the challenge posed by the plan against Nigeria by coming together to denounce the spurious and fabricated report.
The Media Group said that the devilish economic pursuit of some unpatriotic citizens of Nigeria will definitely not destroy this Country but the purveyors of the false accusation against Nigeria.
It commended CAN, JNI, MURIC and othe christian and muslim leaders that sat in a Conference in Abuja with the officials of US Embassy yesterday to denounce the false report as the satanic bill is the handiwork of michievous people.
Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria therefore challenged the US Government and US Embassy in Nigeria to work on real facts and figures available to them on criminality in Nigeria such as terrorism, insurgency, banditry and kidnapping in the Country to discover that in those criminalities, muslims have been more affected than christians as muslims do not accuse christians of being involved in the killings.
The Media Group said American Executive ought to be factual by telling its Legislature the fact of the matter instead of allowing it to be duped by some challatans parading themselves as christians as false alarms are being raised by some unscrupulous christians for financial benefits and called on US Government to fish the perpetrators out for deserving purnishment instead giving them undeserved recognition.
The Group concluded by appealing to the Federal Government, patriotic Nigerisn muslims and christians not to be bothered by Senator Ted Cruz of America’s Bill that is based on falsehood and tissues of lies pointing out that the American Embassy in Nigeria itself is an eye witness to facts that criminals in Nigeria do not give any damn to religion in their crimes and criminalities here in Nigeria.
