Ilorin-based Frontline Islamic Scholar, Shaikh Sulaiman Danborno has cautioned Muslim Ummah against worldly affairs that could deny them of paradise in the hereafter.
Shaikh Danborno gave the caution at the Fidau for Late Foremost Labour Leader in Kwara State, Comrade Issa Abasskarara held at Alapta, Eruda Ilorin.
The Cleric described sojourn on earth as temporary and charged Muslims to explore their lives to serve Almighty Allah.
He reminded them to prioritize the welfare of their people and avoid actions capable of disintegrating family ties.
The Islamic Scholar identified late Comrade Issa Abasskarara as an unblemished disciplinarian, activist and devout Muslim who lived a life worthy of emulation.
He maintained that Late Comrade Abasskarara was his childhood close Ally and companion with profound knowledge and impeccable character.
Shaikh Danborno enjoined the children of the deceased to build on the positive legacy of their father for the benefits of the posterity and prayed Allah grant Late Comrade Abasskarara eternal rest.
The Fidau was laced with rendition of some portions of glorious Qur’an for Allah to have mercy on the deceased led by Imam of Imale of Ilorin, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdul-hameed.
The Fidau was attended by eminent personalities including Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engineer Yakubu Danladi Salihu represented by House Leader, Barrister Abdulkadir Oba Magaji, Clerk of the House, Alhaji Abdulkareem Olayiwola Ahmed, Chairman Association of Pensioners, Ilorin West, Prince Nuhu Sulaiman and First President Regular Callers on Radio Programmes, Alhaji Na’Allah Pako among others.
Late Comrade Abasskarara who died last Wednesday at the age of 84, survived by children and grandchildren including Director of Information, Kwara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Issa Funsho.
