Eruku Church Attack: Ilorin Emir Condemns Assault, Calls For Swift Rescue Efforts

Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has condemned attack on worshippers at a church in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Press Secretary, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir described the incident as most unfortunate, condemnable and worrisome.
The Emir lamented that such an act could occur at a time when governments at all levels are intensifying efforts to curb banditry, terrorism, and other criminal activities.
He expressed deep sadness over the killing of some victims and the abduction of others, urging security agencies to step up operations and ensure the safe return of all those kidnapped.
The Emir prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and for comfort for their grieving families.
