Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has congratulated the winners of the 2025 Kwara State National Qur’an Recitation Competition held in Ilorin on Sunday.
In a goodwill message issued by his Press Secretary, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir praised the exceptional performances of the young reciters and encouraged them to remain exemplary ambassadors of Kwara State and Islam.
He reiterated that the nation’s progress is tied to the development of its youth, who make up the majority of the population.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari commended Ustaz Muhammad Yaseer Tajudeen, Ustaz Abdulwaris Ismail, and Ustaz Abdulmajeed Abdul-leef for clinching the first, second, and third positions respectively.
He urged them to build on their achievements as they prepare for the National Qur’an Recitation Competition slated for December 12, 2025, in Borno State.
The Emir also appreciated the Kwara State Committee on the National Qur’an Recitation Competition, led by the Danmadami of Ilorin, Alhaji Shehu Ahmad Gafar OON, for nurturing youths who positively influence their peers.
He further called on parents and guardians to intensify efforts toward the proper upbringing of their children for the good of the nation and humanity.
