Ramadan Fast: Governor Aliyu Approves Early Payment Of February Salaries In Sokoto

Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has approved the immediate payment of February salaries to civil servants ahead of the 2026 Ramadan fast.
The payment is scheduled to commence on Friday, February 13, 2026, in a move aimed at easing financial pressure on workers as they prepare for the holy month.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Director General of Media and Publicity at the Government House, Sokoto, Abubakar Bawa.
According to the statement, the salary payment covers workers in the State Civil Service, Local Government Councils, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) staff, as well as pensioners across the state.
Governor Aliyu urged civil servants to reciprocate the gesture by demonstrating dedication and commitment to their duties. He called on workers to be punctual, hardworking, committed, and sincere in carrying out their responsibilities to help the government meet the aspirations of the people.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a vibrant, efficient, and productive civil service in Sokoto State.
He also expressed appreciation to residents of the state for their continued support and prayers for his administration.
