Sub-City Empowers Commercial Tricyclists With 150 Tricycles In Kwara

One Hundred and Fifty tricycles were today handed over to beneficiaries as higher purchase by Sub-City Project Global Consult Limited Ilorin.

Flagging off the distribution, Commissioner of Police , Kwara State Command, Adekimi Ojo identified the empowerment as a way of combating crimes and criminalities in the state.

Mr. Ojo explained that the gesture would have ripple effects of changing the lives of the people and described transporters as veritable means of getting credible information to fight crimes.

In his remark, Managing Director Sub-City Project Global Consult Limited, Alhaji Umar Toliha Abolakale posited that the empowerment is geared youth economic development

Alhaji Toliha Abolakale maintained that the purpose of the initiative is to create job, empower youth and reduce crimes.

He pledged to always support government in its efforts at ensuring young people earn decent income and charged the beneficiaries to strictly adhere to the agreement signed and avoid default.

Our Reporter gathered that commercial tricyclist beneficiaries expected to pay installment inline the with agreement signed with the Company on their behalf by National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria RTEAN and Tricycle Operators Association of Nigeria TOAN.

Highpoints of the event was a symbolic presentation of keys to the beneficiaries.
