 Kwara State Government and Craft Innovation Hub have trained over 180 public communication officers on the use of artificial intelligence to improve speed and accuracy in official media work.
The one-day AI-Assisted Media Workflow Practical Capacity Programme held at the Ilorin Innovation Hub drew government Communication Officers, Ministry Staff, and Public Information Personnel across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
Organized by the Ministry of Communications in partnership with Craft Innovation Hub, the training focused on applying AI tools to daily tasks including transcription, report writing, speech drafting, and information processing.
Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju, who declared the programme open, said the training was designed to strengthen the state’s communication system.
Hon Olukoju explained the seminar would go a long way in strengthening communication system by equipping Press Secretaries and Information Officers across MDAs in Kwara with AI-assisted media workflow training.
Craft Innovation Hub Founder and Chief Operating Officer Abdulrasaq Ahmed Abiodun delivered the keynote address and posited that the goal was not to replace human judgment but to improve workflow.
According to him, engagement is about helping communication professionals work faster, smarter, and more responsibly, while preserving accuracy, structure, and public trust.
The session was co-facilitated by Oseni Abdulwasiu, Head of Operations at Craft Innovation Hub, with Abeeb Oredunni, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Communications, as Master of Ceremonies.
