Christian Bodies across Nigeria has again been warned to desist from false public and media propaganda against the Federal and State Governments in Nigeria in-order to sustain the peace, stability and progress of the Nation.
The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria made this call today while reacting to the call made by Redeemed Christian of God (RCCG) of Nigeria to all its followers across Country to come out coming Sunday 24th of this month to protests with placards with all sorts of inscriptions against the Federal Government of Nigeria!
This directive as contained in its Memo to all its Parishes across the Country, the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria said, would threaten the peace and unity being enjoyed presently by both Muslims, Christians and adherents of other faiths in Nigeria!
In a Press Statement released today and signed by it’s National Publicity Secretary Dr. Yusuf Agbabiaka, the Media Group wondered why some Christian religious bodies hide under freedom of speech to provoke the Muslims by telling lies to overheat the polity and by falsely accusing the Federal Government of Islamization Agenda, Persecution of Christians and Genocide against Christians
It described the RCCG planned rallies and protests as imminent danger meant to disrupt the forthcoming Eid-El-Kabir Celebration – warning that Muslims are ready to hold counter-protests to expose the devilish actions of the RCCG.
The Media Group warned of the serious consequence of re-incarnation of Donald Trump of America’s false alarm on Nigeria as echoed last year, and called on RCCG to desist from it’s devilish act of planning to cause fresh religious riot in Nigeria with it’s placard carrying protests scheduled for coming Sunday.
The Media Group called on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to call it’s affiliate churches to order and ensure that they do not use their leadership to mislead their followers into causing fresh trouble in Nigeria, wondering why the Church of our First Lady in Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu – RCCG could be in the fore-front of destabilising the Country in which her husband is the President..
MMWG wondered also why Christians and their churches in Nigeria and abroad wants to gain by spreading falsehood with a view of calling on Foreign Governments like that of America and Israel to attack Nigeria as a result of falsehood being peddled by them; describing the act as unpatriotic and devilish evangelism that will NEVER succeed.
The Group said it is not unaware of several donations in millions Naira, vehicles, and logistics being given to Christian Bodies by the First Lady in the North and South of Nigeria without corresponding gestures to the Muslims and warned that such divisive tendencies are part of what is encouraging churches in Nigeria to cause confusion in Nigeria believing that they could ‘do and undo calling on Federal Government to stop pampering those causing trouble in Nigeria.
On politics, the Group said if RCCG candidate for Presidency in 2023 Prof. Yemi Osinbajo lost primary election to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu – his Mentor and Benefactor and Tinubu later became our President since May 29th, 2023 – inspite of their campaign that they would not vote for Muslim-Muslim ticket, that does not call for sponsoring of campaign of calumny against the Federal Government and the overwhelming Muslims that voted for him to win, the Group maintained.
On the 3-Day Fasting declared by RCCG to fight the Muslims and Federal Government, the Group called on all the Security Agencies in Nigeria especially, the Police, the Army, the DSS and NIA to prevail on the Church not to conduct the planned rallies and protests scheduled for coming Sunday as it is political aimed at fighting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because of running again with his Vice-President who has been found credible and worthy to be his Vice in his 2nd Term tenure.
On Nigerian Inter-Religious Council (NIREC), the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria called on Muslim Leaders and Islamic Bodies in the Council to suspend their membership of NIREC as the Body has failed totally in calling to order Christian Churches intimidating the Muslims and Federal Government over non-existing happenings with sole purpose of overheating the polity irresponsibly.
