Kwara-born Corps Member from Ifelodun LGA of the State, Ishola Oluwafemi Isaac, with state code SO/25A/1562, has donated 50 desks and various writing materials, including biros, pencils, erasers, 30 school bags, and other educational items to students of JSS Labbo Dogon Daji.
The donation formed part of the Corps Member’s effort to leave a lasting legacy in his host community through the Community Development Service (CDS) project.
Earlier, Ishola had also organized a career talk for students of Sultan Abubakar College as part of his contribution to educational development in the state.
Speaking during the commissioning of the project, the Sokoto State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Tyoyer Gabriel Ter, commended the Corps Member for initiating and successfully executing the project.
According to the Coordinator, the donation of desks and writing materials would significantly enhance the learning process for the students.
He appreciated Isaac for the timely intervention and urged the beneficiaries to take proper care of the items to ensure their durability.
In his remarks, Isaac explained that his passion for improving the living standards of people in the state, particularly in the area of education, motivated him to embark on the project.
He also expressed gratitude to everyone who supported and sponsored the successful completion and commissioning of the project.
The management of the school appreciated the Corps Member for executing the project, describing it as timely and laudable.
They assured that the donated items would be used judiciously.
