Upper Gaa Odota Residents Disown Alhaji Saad Rafiu’s Facebook Criticism Of Kwara Govt

Residents and dwellers of the Gaa Odota community strongly condemned and disassociate themselves from the recent outbursts on Facebook by one Alhaji Saad Rafiu against Kwara State Government.

Addressing a Press Conference in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital the Community Chairman, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Apete described the inhabitants of the community as progressive, peace-loving, and law-abiding.

According to him, the members of the community believe that his recent outbursts on Facebook regarding the state of our community’s development are exaggerated and unrepresentative of the true feelings and views of their people.

He noted that for the records, Alhaji Saad Rafiu is not a recognized member of our community as the Community never sent him to attack the government.

The Community Leader pointed out that they did not endorse his veracious assault and insults directed at government officials and identified his actions and words as his alone and did not reflect the position or sentiments of the Gaa Odota community.

Alhaji Apete described their Community as an environment that values peace, progress, and respect for lawful processes.

He maintained that members of the Community work diligently to maintain harmony and foster development in collaboration with local authorities.

Community clarified any inflammatory remarks made by individuals outside the Community should not be confused with their collective stance.

He appreciated the contributions and positive impact of the Kwara State government in the development of our community and support they had received had been vital in improving the quality of life for many residents, and pledged to continue to value the partner with the state government.

The Community acknowledge the government’s provision of transformers and solar street lights, which have significantly enhanced our infrastructure and safety.

Alhaji Apete said the empowerment programmes for their women and youth have been a source of hope and progress for many families within Gaa Odota.

In the spirit of ongoing collaboration, and in line with our continuous correspondences with the Ministry of Works, the Community appealed to the government to expedite attention to the rehabilitation of our roads.

He elucidated that the Ministry of Works and other government officials have already visited their Community to assess the current state of the roads, and optimistic that this matter will receive the urgent attention it requires.

The Community Leader reaffirmed the commitment of the residents towards working with all stakeholders to ensure that Gaa Odota continues on its path of development and peace.

He urged all members of the community to remain calm, united, and focused on constructive engagement rather than divisive actions or statements. Together, we will build a better future for everyone in Gaa Odota.
