Turaki of Ilorin Emirate and lawmaker representing Kwara Central, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has applauded the appointment of Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani as the new Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate.
In a statement issued by his Media Assistant, Nasif Sholagberu, the Senator said the appointment reflects the Emirate’s longstanding tradition of excellence, scholarship, and Islamic leadership.
He described the new Chief Imam as a learned scholar with deep roots in Islamic scholarship and a strong legacy of service to the Muslim Ummah.
Senator Mustapha commended the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, for the peaceful and rigorous process that produced the new Chief Imam, adding that it reinforces the respect Ilorin Emirate commands in religious and traditional leadership structures across Nigeria.
While congratulating the new Chief Imam, Senator Mustapha prayed that Allah (SWT) make his reign successful, accept his service as an act of Ibadah, and make him a source of guidance and blessing to the Ilorin Emirate, the Muslim community, and humanity at large.
