Renewal Congress of Aladura Churches in Politics, RECAP, Kwara State Chapter, has urged Christians in the state and Nigeria by extension to actively participate in politics and support credible, God-fearing leaders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Chairman of RECAP Kwara State Chapter, Superior Evangelist Dr. Adebisi Banwo, made the call in Ilorin the State capital at a prayer rally and summit for Nigeria and Kwara State, which also featured support for members contesting elective positions and the inauguration of the state Executive.
Superior Evangelist Dr Banwo said despite the significant contributions and numerical strength of White Garment Churches across Nigeria, their political participation and representation remained below expectations.
He challenged members to unite with one vision and purpose and take decisive steps towards influencing political leadership in the country.
Other speakers urged Christians to sustain the movement and become actively involved in the political process ahead of 2027.
The group maintained that God is raising the White Garment Church to promote righteousness, justice and godly leadership in Nigeria, stressing that this vision must be matched with proactive political action.
