Uztaz Haroon Hassan Bolakale from Kwara Central has emerged overall winner of the State Qur’an Memorization Competition in the First Category of Compete Qur’an, Tafsir and Kirahat Sabha
Uztaz Hassan Bolakale was turbaned as Gwarzo Shakara, Hero of the year at Closing Ceremony of Kwara State Qur’an Recitation Competition organized by the State Committee on National Qur’an Recitation Committee held in llorin
Resource Person at the event, Senior Lecturer, Arabic and Transnational Studies Department, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Dr Mahmud Danjuma whose topic entitled “Qur’an and It Custodians in Kwara” described Qur’an Memorizers as the best creatures of Allah
He charged Muslims to uphold the Qur’an to overcome their challenges and urged affluent Muslims to always support Qur’an Memorizers with their wealth to received abondant reward from Allah
The Guest Lecturer counselled participants not to memorize Qur’an for material gain or prizes but memorize to establish connection with their creator
He applauded Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his unflinching support to the Committee and urged him to reconsider the traveling of Kwara Contingent to the National Qur’an Competition by air to Kebbi State
In his remark, Chairman of Occasion Dr Abdulkadir Tunji Nagode encouraged parents to bequeath both Islamic and western education on their children and wards to earn Allah’s mercy
Dr Nagode who is the Dan Amana of Ilorin, represented by Engineer Bolakale Aiyegun, congratulated the participants for choosing the right path of Qur’an Memorization
In his welcome address, Chairman Qur’an Committee in the State, Alhaji Shehu Abdulgafar said the competition showcased winners of first and second positions in all categories of the state competition
Alhaji Abdulgafar applauded Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his aid to the Committee particularly allocation of land to the Committee to establish Centre For Qur’an Memorization in the state
Meanwhile, first position winners of the categories in the just concluded State Competition are to represent Kwara State in the National Qur’an Memorization Competition billed for 18th of December in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State Capital
