National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has reaffirmed its zero tolerance for data falsification in the mobilisation of graduates for national service.
The Director-General of the Scheme, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, stated this at the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Pre-Mobilisation Workshop in Abuja, according to a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu.
He said the Scheme will continue to safeguard the integrity of its mobilisation process despite emerging challenges, including unapproved institutions, identity theft, weak data linkages and cybersecurity risks.
The Director, Corps Mobilisation, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor, described the workshop as a platform to strengthen collaboration with higher institutions, while urging accuracy and accountability in uploading graduate data.
JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, cautioned institutions against data manipulation and said several individuals were already facing prosecution for related offences.
The Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) Chairman, Engr. Olatunji Ariyomo, also pledged enhanced engagement with stakeholders to support credible mobilisation.
