In a Condolence Message jointly signed by the National Coordinator of Group Alh. Abdullahi Ibrahim and the National Secretary Dr. Nasir Balogun, the Group described the deceased as an outstanding Islamic Scholar who traversed the International Community spreading Islamic knowledge.
The Group recalled his immense contributions to growth and development several Islamic Organizations in Nigeria including the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, the National Council of Muslim Youths Organizations in Nigeria (NACOMYO), the Hijra Organization of Nigeria as well as the academic community of numerous Universities in Nigeria including his Alma-Mater – The University of Ilorin where he was until recently served as the Dean of Post-Graduate School of the University.
The Media Group noted with sadness that his death has created a vacuum too difficult to fill, but expressed satisfaction that Professor Lanre Badmus played his part creditably to the satisfaction of all.
The Group therefore prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his sins and grant him Aljannatul-Firdaous.
