Declaring the results of Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ election, Chairman 2024 NUJ Credentials Screening Committee, Mr Abdul-Hameed Funsho Alaiye said Mallam Lanre Ahmed polled 100 votes to defeat his sole challenger, Abdullahi Dare Akogun of Sobi FMÂ who scored 51votes
Hajia Binta Abubakar-Mora of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Radio Nigeria Harmony FM, Idofian was re-elected unopposed while Bushrah Yusuf-Badmus of Correspondents Chapel was elected unopposed
Mahmood Olayinka Alaya of Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Kwara Chapel clinched the position of Council Secretary with 93 votes fiercely beating Mansurah Amuda-Kannike of State Information Chapel, Ministry of Communications who garnered 57 votes
Also, Madinah Olayinka-Yusuf of Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation, Radio won the office of State Financial Secretary with 93 votes against Abdulganiyu Yusuf Adebisi from information Chapel, Ministry of Communications who had 56 votes
