National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has declared Kwara as the state with the lowest Food Inflation rate in Nigeria on Year-on-Year basis in November 2024.

In its latest Consumer Price Index and Inflation (CPI) report, NBS put the figures on YoY basis for Kwara at 31.39%; Kogi (32.95%); and Rivers (32.27) respectively.

In contrast, Sokoto ( 51.30%); Yobe (46.69%); and Edo (47.77) had the highest rise in Nigeria.

The latest NBS report underscores Kwara’s progress in strengthening Agriculture practices and food security in the state, owing to the huge investment of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in supporting farmers with seedlings, fertilisers and other farm inputs for improved harvesting in the last year.
