Kano To Spend 2.5 Billion Naira On Mass Wedding

Kano State Government has earmarked the sum of N2.5bn for the quarterly mass weddings exercise across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state this year.
State Commissioner for Planning and Budget, Musa Shanono, disclosed this while presenting the breakdown of the State’s 2025 budget passed into law by the State House of Assembly
According to Shanono, the mass wedding initiative is part of the government’s broader plan to spend N91.32bn in the governance and service delivery sector for various programmes and services toward fostering social welfare and development.
