Gateway Games 2024: Engr. Olaide Pledges N100,000 Reward for Kwara Football Team’s Victory Over Ogun

As excitement builds toward the football final of the 22nd National Sports Festival tagged Gateway Games 2024, the CEO of Cyteck Engineering Limited, Engr. Olaide Ahmed, has thrown his weight behind Team Kwara with a motivational cash pledge.
Engr. Olaide has promised a sum of ₦100,000 to the Kwara State football team if they defeat the host state, Ogun, in what promises to be a thrilling finale at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, tomorrow 27th of May, 2025 at 6 p.m.
The business mogul and sports philanthropist made the announcement to inspire the team ahead of the high-stakes encounter, noting that the gesture is aimed at boosting the morale of the players and rewarding their resilience.
Kwara’s journey to the final has been a tale of grit and redemption. After narrowly losing their opening match to Kano, Coach Ezekiel’s side bounced back in style clinching crucial wins and eventually edging past Kaduna with a hard-fought 1-0 victory in the semifinals.
Now, with gold in sight, Team Kwara is battle-ready to face off against host Ogun in front of what is expected to be a capacity crowd.
Kwara fans across the country are hopeful that the financial motivation and the team’s current form will be enough to push them to glory and bring the coveted football gold back home.
