Rep Abdulmumin Jibrin Dumps NNPP For APC, Backs Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid

Member, Federal House of Representatives from Kano State, Mallam Abdulmumin Jibrin has officially returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
In a statement today, Mallam Jibrin, who represents Kiru and Bebeji Constituency of Kano State, confirmed his decision to quit the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the Kwankwasiyya Movement led by former Kano Governor, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso.
He made the announcement on during a gathering in his hometown of Kofa, Bebeji Local Government Area, where thousands of supporters received him.
Over 2,000 Islamic clerics (Ulamas) also offered special prayers for President Tinubu, seeking peace and development in Kano State and across Nigeria.
Hon Jibrin’s defection to the APC comes two months after his expulsion from the NNPP for alleged anti-party activities and failure to pay membership dues.
The lawmaker thanked the NNPP for their past support and urged his followers to join him in his new political journey with the APC.
