Dance Scientifically Proven To Heal Chronic Diseases – Kaffy

Nigerian Dance Scholar, Doctor Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau popularly referred to as Kaffy has confirmed that Dance is scientifically proven to heal chronic diseases.
Doctor Kaffy who is also a Dance Entrepreneur made this confirmation while fielding questions from journalists at the 10th Annual International Conference organized by Association of Dance Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria (ADSPON) held at Ojaja University, Eyenkorin, Ilorin.
She pointed out that mental health is a major problem in the world particularly Africa as dance is good for retentive and cognitive solutions.
The Choreographer stated that dance is able to get attention globally through Afrobeat, fashion and movies.
According to her, the world is watching Africa as dance plays significant role to allow those who did not speak their language to embody their art form.
The Creative Director noted that dance has done a lot for the world from Skelewu to Shakitibobo among others to what people want to vibe with as the theme of this year Conference evolve around Detty December which is just a concept that has brought people around the globe to Lagos.
She elucidated that no concept of entertainment such as fashion, comedy shows serving Detty December without dance playing a pivotal role and attributed untapped potentials of dance to lack of awareness, perception and myopic thinking.
Dr Kaffy who posited that dance cut across all areas of human endeavours including economy, fashion, health, wellness culture, tourism, advertising, advocated critical infrastructure and orientation to propel dancing profession to its rightful position in Nigeria.
