FG Promises End To Frequent Power Grid Collapses

Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu says Federal Government is working to prevent the frequent collapse of the National Power Grid and achieve greater grid reliability and stability under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
Mr Adelabu made this known in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, while addressing newsmen at the maiden NISO Management Retreat 2025, themed “NISO on the Move.”
Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Alh Muhammadu Mamman, the Minister explained that the President Tinubu’s administration began implementing new strategies from inception to improve grid stability and reduce nationwide power outages.
According to him, the creation of the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO), is one of the government’s key reforms to ensure a more efficient and reliable power sector.
Mr Adelabu reaffirmed that the government is committed to doing things differently, with NISO serving as a platform to adopt new approaches toward grid stabilisation and improved electricity access for Nigerians.
