Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Senator Sulaiman Umar Sadiq, has said it is the turn of Kwara North to produce the state Governor in 2027 general elections.
Umar, representing Kwara North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, stated this while featuring on Television Continental (TVC) programme “Politics Tonight”.
He noted that Kwara North had paid its dues for supporting Kwara Central and Kwara North for governorship from 1999 till date.
According to him, only Kwara North is left to be Governor since the return of democratic rule in the country.
The politician solicited the support of other senatorial zones for Kwara North to produce next Governor for equity and justice.
Sadiq explained that the incumbent Governor of the state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, is committed to power shift to Kwara North.
