Craft Innovation Hub Ltd has announced a free six-day Data Analytics and Productivity Pilot Programme for 30 selected participants in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The programme is scheduled to hold from Monday, 18 May to Saturday, 23 May 2026, at Craft Innovation Hub, Agbo Oba, Ilorin.

According to the organisers, the training is designed to equip participants with practical skills in data cleaning, spreadsheet analysis, Power Query, logic functions, Pivot Tables, dashboard development, data interpretation and workplace productivity.

The training will run from 3:00pm to 6:00pm daily between Monday, 18 May and Thursday, 21 May 2026. Friday, 22 May, will feature a productivity session in collaboration with the National Productivity Centre, while Saturday, 23 May, has been set aside for mentorship and certificate presentation.

The organisers said the programme is limited to 30 participants only to ensure close supervision, practical learning and measurable outcomes.

Speaking on the initiative, the Chief Operating Officer of Craft Innovation Hub, Abdulrasaq Ahmed Abiodun, said the pilot was designed to close a practical skills gap among young people, workers, students, business owners and professionals who use data but often lack the training to interpret it effectively.

“Many people use spreadsheets every day, but very few are trained to clean records, spot errors, interpret figures and present insights clearly. This pilot is designed to close that practical gap,” he said.

Abiodun added that data skills are becoming increasingly important across government offices, schools, healthcare organisations, businesses, NGOs and community-based institutions.

“This programme is not just about learning Excel. It is about helping participants understand how data can improve reporting, reduce errors, support productivity and strengthen decision-making in real workplaces,” he added.

The first four days of the programme will focus on practical data analytics. Participants will work with sample datasets and learn how to identify duplicate records, correct inconsistent entries, use formulas and lookup functions, summarise large records with Pivot Tables and build simple dashboards.

The fifth day will focus on productivity, with the National Productivity Centre expected to support participants in connecting data analytics to workplace efficiency, performance tracking, better reporting and improved decision-making.

The final day will feature mentorship, partner remarks and certificate presentation. Successful participants are expected to receive certificates co-signed by Craft Innovation Hub and the National Productivity Centre.

The programme is open to selected students, graduates, public-sector officers, SME staff, healthcare workers, NGO officers, administrative staff, finance staff, youth beneficiaries and professionals interested in practical data skills.

Craft Innovation Hub said partner organisations and interested nominees are expected to submit participant details on or before Friday, 15 May 2026.

Enquiries and nominations should be directed to the Head of Tech/Vocation, Mr. Omogboye Adeyemi, on +234 810 252 3090.
