Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) is set to feature the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State, Hadji Abdulrasheed Oluwafemi Yusuf, as the Guest Speaker at the 49th edition of its Media Parliament.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2026, will take place at the NUJ Press Centre, No. 28, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin, beginning at 12 noon.
In a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the NUJ Media Parliament Committee, Fatima Rasheed and Sodiq Adebara respectively, the session will focus on the theme, “Grassroots Governance: Reasserting Local Government Administration in Kwara.”
According to the statement, the Media Parliament will provide an opportunity for journalists and stakeholders to examine the role of local governments in grassroots development, effective administration and improved service delivery to the people.
The event will be hosted by the Chairman of the Kwara State Council of NUJ, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed.
The statement urged members of the State NUJ to attend in large numbers and be punctual.
