 Kwara State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has rejoiced with one of its distinguished members and Publisher of RoyalNews Online, Dr AbdulAzeez Arowona, on the official unveiling of his radio station, Emirate 98.5 FM, Ilorin, today.
In a congratulatory statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Mr Gabriel Ogunade, and the General Secretary, Mr Abdul Rahman Sanni, the Institute described the establishment of Emirate 98.5 FM as a landmark achievement and a significant boost to the media and public communication landscape of Kwara State.
The NIPR commended Dr Arowona for his foresight, professionalism, and sustained commitment to ethical communication, noting that the new radio station reflects his passion for public enlightenment, cultural6 preservation, and community development.
The Institute observed that Emirate 98.5 FM is well positioned to promote responsible information dissemination, deepen public engagement, and strengthen the interface between government, institutions, and the people.
While acknowledging Dr Arowona’s role as Press Secretary to the Emir of Ilorin, the NIPR noted that the radio station would also contribute meaningfully to human capital development by creating employment opportunities for public relations practitioners, journalists, broadcasters, and other media professionals, thereby stimulating socio-economic growth in the state.
The Institute expressed confidence that Emirate 98.5 FM would uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethical practice, and social responsibility, in line with the core values of public relations and journalism.
The Kwara State Chapter of the NIPR pledged its support and cooperation towards the success of the station and wished Dr Arowona continued success in his contributions to media development and strategic public communication in Nigeria.
