Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, says electricity supply may begin to improve within 48 to 72 hours in areas affected by the ongoing outages.

Tegbe attributed the disruption to maintenance at Egbin Power Station, gas supply challenges and the sabotage of critical transmission lines.

He said the damaged infrastructure had disrupted alternative supply routes, particularly to Lagos, forcing grid operators to introduce load shedding in some areas.

The minister assured Nigerians that efforts were underway to restore affected generating units and repair damaged transmission facilities.
